Welcome! Thank you for your interest in the pair/set of George and Martha Washington portraits under beveled circular glass. Someone made wire stands for them adding to their character and charm. The circular portraits are the same size, approx 3 inches in diameter. I was told these were produced sometime in the 1st half of the 19th century. I could not find comparable examples so they may be rare. Originally from a Wolfeboro NH estate. The portraits are faded showing their age but you can still make out George and Martha. Great pieces for your display cabinet.
